NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) annual board examination for secondary students (class 10) will be conducted in the month of February-March 2020. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Date Sheet 2020 is likely to be available by end of December 2019. The Board has not released any information on the CBSE Class 10th 2020 board exam time-table release date as of now.
Hindi is one of the easy and scoring subjects for most of the class 10th students.
There are two textbooks for Class 10th Hindi subject - Hindi A (Subject Code 002) and Hindi B (Subject Code 85). The exam pattern for both the subject codes are same. CBSE Class 10th Hindi Exam Pattern 2020
The maximum marks of the Class 10 Hindi theory examination is 80 marks and the duration of the exam is of three hours. The question paper will be divided into four parts. The students need to answer all the questions in all four sections. There will be internal choices in some sections.
  • Section A: There will be an reading passage provided in this section. The students will have to answer the question based on this passage. The total marks of the Section A is 10 marks.
  • Section B: This part is comprised of grammar based questions. The total marks of the section is 16.
  • Section C: In this section, all the questions will be based on Hindi subject textbook prescribed to students by the Board. The total marks of the section is 34.
  • Section D: This is writing section. Students will have to write a 200-250 words essay based on the provided points. The students will also be asked to write letter and advertisement copy. The total marks of this section will be 20.

Word count
  • 1 mark questions = All one mark questions should be answered in 15-20 words.
  • 2 mark questions = All two marks questions should be answered in 30-40 words.
  • 3 marks questions = All three marks questions should be answered in 60-70 words.
  • 5 marks questions = All five marks questions should be answered in 120-150 words.
