10 teachers sacked in Sitapur for marksheet fraud

The basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) of Sitapur dismissed 10 teachers of government primary schools on Thursday for securing jobs by using fake BEd marksheet and certificates and lodged FIR against them.

LUCKNOW: The basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) of Sitapur dismissed 10 teachers of government primary schools on Thursday for securing jobs by using fake BEd marksheet and certificates and lodged FIR against them.
The action was taken after Allahabad high court-monitored special investigation team (SIT) probing the case, handed the list of fake teachers to the basic education department.

The case pertains to irregularities in the issuance of marksheets of 2004-05 BEd session of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Agra.
BSA, Sitapur, Ajay Kumar said, "SIT found that these teachers had obtained BEd degree from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, in 2005. An FIR has been lodged against them and their salaries stopped."
Two fraudsters were teaching since 2010, four were employed in 2011, two in 2014 and two others in 2015. The fraudsters will have to deposit the salary and allowances, they had withdrawn during their service period.
