Thane: Half-burnt body of woman found

TITWALA: The half-burnt body of a woman was found under garbage here on Friday morning. A passerby noticed the body at Balyani and informed police, who suspect the victim, aged around 35, was murdered and her body had been burnt to destroy evidence.
A panchanama was conducted and the body was sent to Rukminibai hospital, Kalyan, for post-mortem. Senior inspector Balaji Pandhare said, "We have booked an unidentified person for murder and destroying evidence." Police have shared a picture of the body with other police stations and informers.They hope it will help identify her and find the killer. This is the second time in a year a woman has been killed and burnt here. In June, a woman was killed and her body was burnt to destroy evidence.
