Sitaphalmandi area in
Secunderabad will get the much-needed facelift soon with a community function hall, a Society for Employment Promotion & Training in
Twin Cities (SETWIN) institute and a degree college to be set up. The number of beds in the Government Civil Hospital will also be increased.
The developmental works were inspected by municipal administration and urban development minister KT
Rama Rao on Friday.
"The institute and the modern multi-purpose community hall are being built at a cost of 9 crore. Unlike a regular community or functional hall owned by government, deputy speaker T Padma Rao wants to turn the hall into an air-condition functional hall," said K Ravi Kumar, GHMC deputy commissioner, Secunderabad circle.
The ground and first floor together are spread over 16,000 sft. The existing school and junior college are also being renovated, while a proposal to set up a degree college on the same premises is also on the cards.
