Delhi pollution: Haryana CM Khattar writes to Prakash Javadekar for meeting

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar wrote to Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, seeking a meeting of the CMs of Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana on the issue of Delhi pollution, preferably on Sunday.

Earlier, in a telephonic conversation with Javadekar, Khattar requested him to convene the meeting to prepare a strategy to synergise the efforts of different organisations and governments in the region.

“The ongoing public health emergency in NCR is a matter of serious concern for all of us. .. there is a need for coordinating the efforts of all stakeholders to tackle the issue in a more sensitive and responsible manner. As no single person, organisation or government can improve the quality of air in the NCR, playing politics on this serious situation is unfortunate and, in itself, a matter of concern… ,” Khattar wrote.
