LUCKNOW: A retired army officer lodged a case against a real estate company director and three others accusing them of duping him, his wife and daughter of Rs 28.80 lakh on the promise of selling them plots.
Colonel Rajveer Singh Sangwan of Sector I, LDA colony, complained to Hazratganj police saying he, his wife Usha and daughter Nimisha had signed a deal with company's director Paresh Rastogi, his kin Piyush and Pankaj for plots in Kasimpur Viruha village in Mohanlalganj in 2013.

"The accused showed us project map and claimed it was approved by government. They took us to the site, showed the plots after which we agreed and paid through cheques. They made us sign an agreement saying they would develop the land and give us plots in 30 months or else would pay Rs 50.99 lakh (for three plots)," said Sangwan.
"Nearly 75 months have passed. When we verified, we found the company did not own the land shown to us. When we asked them to return the cash, they warned us of serious consequences and even issued life threats," Sangwan said in complaint.
"The company duped us of a huge sum which I had saved," he said.
SHO Hazratganj, Radha Raman Singh said an FIR has been registered against Paresh, Piyush and Pankaj under the charges of criminal breach of trust and dishonesty.
