Share market update: NBFC stocks advance; PNB Housing jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of non-banking financial companies (NBFC) were trading in the positive zone in Monday's afternoon session.

PNB Housing Finance (up 5.52 per cent) , Indiabulls Ventures (up 5 per cent) , Reliance Home (up 4.97 per cent) , Reliance Capital (up 4.94 per cent) , DHFL (up 4.92 per cent) , Religare Enterprises (up 4.92 per cent), VLS Finance (up 3.64 per cent) , Bajaj Finserv (up 3.11 per cent) , Sakthi Finance (up 2.72 per cent) , SATIN (up 2.51 per cent) , Edelweiss Financial Services (up 2.41 per cent) , Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (up 2.15 per cent) , HUDCO (up 2.13 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 2.02 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Mas Financial Services (up 1.36 per cent) , Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (up 1.27 per cent) , Ashika Credit Capital (up 1.17 per cent) , Spandana Sphoorty Financial (up 1.13 per cent) , Paisalo Digital (up 1.13 per cent) , Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 0.85 per cent) , Bajaj Finance (up 0.83 per cent) , HDFC (up 0.57 per cent) , Shriram City Union Finance (up 0.50 per cent) , Can Fin Homes (up 0.30 per cent) and L&T Finance Holdings (up 0.26 per cent) too were trading in the green.

GIC Housing Finance (down 6.21 per cent) , Centrum Capital (down 4.99 per cent) , SREI Infrastructure Finance (down 4.92 per cent) , Ind Bank Housing (down 3.46 per cent) , Aavas (down 2.42 per cent) , LIC Housing Finance (down 2.24 per cent) and Repco Home Finance (down 1.43 per cent) were trading lower.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 38.95 points up at 11,929.55 while the 30share BSE Sensex was up 95.31 points at 40,260.34 at around 02:04 pm.

JSW Steel (up 6.23 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (up 6.22 per cent) , Tata Steel (up 3.83 per cent) and Vedanta (up 3.82 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 3.05 per cent) , Indian Oil Corporation (down 2.10 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (down 1.99 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 1.95 per cent) were trading in the red.
