BIHARSHARIF: Angry over not being invited to celebrate Chhath, a woman along with her accomplices thrasher brother to death in Nalanda on Monday morning.
Police arrested Rekha Devi and her eight alleged accomplices, including three women.
According to one Ranjeet Kumar of Mahadev Bigha under Noorsarai police station area, Rekha along with her brother Bhupendra Chaudhary and some other persons attacked her younger brother Jitan Manjhi with bamboo poles and blade outside his house and critically injured him.

He was taken to a hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. He said Rekha was angry with her brother as he did not invite her family to celebrate Chhath with him.
The deceased had a strained relationship with his sister.
Ranjeet, who claimed to be a neighbour of the deceased, said he saw Rekha and others beating Jitan. When he raised an alarm, they fled leaving Jitan injured.
An ASI posted with the Noorsarsarai police station said Rekha, her another brother Bhupendra, Muteshar Chaudhary, Suman Saurabh, Sanjay Chaudhary, Dharmendra Chaudhary and three women including Mangri Devi, Sushila Devi and Smirti Devi have been arrested from Mahadev Bigha village within two hours after the case was reported to police.
