LUCKNOW: Wanted criminal from Azamgarh Sachin Pandey, who was gunned down by the special task force in Lucknow's Vinamra Khand area on Sunday afternoon, was shot 12 times during the encounter.
Pandey's autopsy report suggests that 12 shots were fired at him which inflicted 15 wounds on the body.
Pandey (30) had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head and was the kingpin of D-16 gang involved in cases of murder, attempt to murder and extortion.
Police are scanning CCTV footages of the spot where Pandey was shot to trace his accomplices. IG, STF, Amitabh Yash said Pandey had a Chinese star pistol which is known for accuracy and aim.
