Rs 6 lakh looted from petrol outlet employee in Hajipur

A gang of armed criminals looted Rs 6 lakh in cash from an employee of a petrol station located at Chaurasia Chowk under Hajipur Industrial police station area in Vaishali district late on Monday night. Police said the incident took place around 1 am when the staff of the petrol outlet—Jai Mata Di--along the Hajipur-Patna road was asleep. Criminals posing as customers asked for fuel in the motorbike. As soon as the staff woke up, they held him captive and collected cash from the cash box and escaped. Hajipur DSP Raghav Dayal said raids are on to nab the miscreants.

Trader shot at: Unidentified armed criminals shot at a garment shop owner at Bhagwanpur Ratti village in Vaishali district on Tuesday evening. The injured has been rushed to the sadar hospital at Hajipur in serious condition.
School principal felicitated: State education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma on Tuesday felicitated the principal of Upgraded Middle School, Kulhariya, Pappu Harijan. During the felicitation ceremony in Banka, the education minister presented a cheque and memento to the teacher. Verma said other government schools should also work hard to create a congenial environment in schools. The principal had won the national award given to teachers in 2018.
Bomb hoax: A bomb hoax call kept the top police officers of Kaimur district on their toes throughout the day on Tuesday. Kaimur SP Dilnawaz Ahmad said police had received information that a time bomb had been planted on the premises of the Bhabua civil court. However, search of the court premises led to recovery of a call bell.
