NEW DELHI: Strong winds in North India are on damage control mode as the National Capital's air quality index (AQI) improves from 'severe plus' to 'poor' at 249.

While nature is finding ways to flush out the pungent haze, the concerns about air pollution has caught India Inc's attention as well.

On Tuesday, Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, took to Twitter to share an easy solution to stubble burning. The top boss retweeted a post shared by Manoj Kumar, CEO of Naandi Foundation that works with farmers and rural India to eradicate poverty.

In his tweet, the 64-year-old businessman called it a profitable fix to disposing of stubble, terming it 'circular economy'.

The original tweet shared pictures of the non-profit organisation's initiative adopted in Delhi's Palla village where 800MT of paddy residue was purchased from farmers to turn it into manure.

Reports suggest that stubble burning is just one factor in the overall pollution paradigm. And, Aditya Ghosh seconds that. The CEO of OYO Rooms posted a 15-second video showing the smog enveloping the city. In his post, he blamed the citizens of Delhi National Capital Region for poisoning their lungs '16 hours before & after Diwali'.

Meanwhile, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CEO and Founder of Paytm, turned poet to describe the misery of the National Capital. In his Hindi poem, he questioned the development, the new sowing season as well as his car.
