Secunderabad: 26-yr-old man attempts suicide, saved by cops

Nacharam police patrol team on Wednesday saved a 26-year-old man who climbed the terrace of a three-storey building with the intent to commit suicide following an altercation with his family.

SECUNDERABAD: Nacharam police patrol team on Wednesday saved a 26-year-old man who climbed the terrace of a three-storey building with the intent to commit suicide following an altercation with his family.
R Lokesh, a resident of Mallapur was spotted balancing on a pipeline by a neighbour who alerted the cops.
“We were 3kms away. We rushed to the terrace and found him holding on to the pipe,” said E Ramulu, a constable.
Ramulu and home guard Bala Narsimha convinced Lokesh not to jump. The officers used a rope and rescued him. The incident occurred at around 10.30pm.
“We took him to the police station and he was counselled by senior officials,” added the constable.
