Avanish, Charan, Medhansh shine

Gangadhar, Ryan, Gana Prakash, Shubham, Nawaz, Nitin, Aditya, Akshay, Hussain, and Prithvi also impress in various Hyderabad League matches.

Hyderabad: Avanish of Gowtham Model School performed exceptionally well, falling just four runs shy of a double century on Thursday. Among bowlers, Aditya and Nitin Sai Yadav came up with brilliant performances at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s U-16 one-day league semifinal matches here on Thursday.

Avanish of Gowtham Model School hit 196 off 135 balls with 18 boundaries and seven sixes to his credit to help his team post 335 in 49.5 overs to defeat Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya despite Aditya’s 5 for 70.

Nitin of Jhanavi Junior College took five Delhi Public School (Nacharam) wickets while giving away just 15 runs to bowl them out for 109. Jhanavi Junior College won by eight wickets.

Charan, Ryan Rodrigues, Abhijeet, Gangadhar and Gana Prakash hit centuries and Medhansh, Akshay, Hussain, Prithvi, Y.V.S.S. Shubham and Nawaz put up a good show with the ball at HCA’s one-day league championship.

Prakash and Abhijeet of AB Colony put up a splendid show for their team. Abhijeet chalked up 118 while Prakash made 100 to help their team post 329 for 3 in 40 overs and later restricted Young Citizens to 92 for 8 in 40 overs.

In another match, Medhansh scalped six wickets for 30 runs for Gunrock CC who beat Sutton CC by five wickets.

Although Akash of Golconda took six wickets, his side could only reply with a paltry 82 in 18 overs to lose to Hyderabad District which made 142 in 31.2 overs. Nawaz from Hyderabad district took five wickets.

In another match, Gangadhar of Manikumar CC hit 100 to lead his side to victory, as the team posted 299 for 8 in 50 overs against South-ern Star CC who were bowled out for 108 in 41.3 overs.

Ryan of Ameerpet CC was the other centurian. He chalked up 124 as his side posted 266 for 7 in 27 overs and later bowled out Walker Town CC for a paltry 28 for 7 in 15.3 overs.

Team SUCC’s Charan was the other batsman who put up a splendid show he hit 138 as his side posted 275 for 4 against Lal Bahadur PG who were all out for 140 in 32.2 overs.

Prithvi of RJCC took up five Secunderbad Gymkhana wickets while conceding three runs to lead his side to victory, although Hussian took up five wickets for 45 runs for Secunderabad.
