2-day fest kick-starts at IIT-Patna

India’s tallest humanoid robot will be on display at the tech exhibition ‘Indro 3.0’ as part of Celesta, the annual techno-management fest of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Patna.

PATNA: India’s tallest humanoid robot will be on display at the tech exhibition ‘Indro 3.0’ as part of Celesta, the annual techno-management fest of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Patna.
The two-day fest, which began on November 9, will conclude on November 10. Apart from technical and management events, guest lectures, exhibitions, events for school students, stand-up comedy and EDM night, Celesta is a complete package to rejoice with technical vibes.
Magnificent robotic exhibitions including, dancing robots, humanoid robots and mind controlled drones will be be also on display.
Teams participating in the fest also have to build robots under given constraints. The winner will get a prize money of Rs 80,000. The fest will have various other events like online coding competition and online treasure, gaming tournaments including PUBG, FIFA and CS-GO.
Seminar on data science: The department of computer science of St Xavier’s College of Management and Technology organized a seminar on data science on Friday.
Data Science experts Vyomkesh Jha and Himanshu Singh talked about prospects of data science and job opportunities in the field. They also urged the students to focus on programming, algorithms, mathematics, basic business knowledge and communication skills in order to become proficient data scientists.
The seminar was attended by Father Sabastian Alphonse, SJ, Controller of Examinations and other professors, including Rakesh Pathak, Prakash Upadhyay, Supriya, Piyush Verma and Mukesh Kumar.
