Kasganj: Man arrested for inflammatory Facebook post after Ayodhya Verdict

AGRA: An alert from local social media cell volunteer group helped Kasganj police to take prompt action against a man allegedly for an inflammatory Facebook post after Supreme Court pronounced its verdict in Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit.
The accused was tracked down and arrested within few hours and the content too was removed from social media platform.
Identified as Ankur Mishra (29), owner of a local printing press and resident of Katra Raja Sahab, Patiyali police jurisdiction, the accused was charged under IPC sections 295 A (Deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 505 (Statements conducing public mischief).

Speaking to TOI, Suhsil Ghule, superintendent of police Kasganj said, "After an alert from local social media volunteer group, Patiyali police tracked the accused and arrested him. During interrogation, the accused did not reveal the intention behind sharing inflammatory post, whose tone and tanner was to hurt religious sentiments of other community."
Ankur Mishra is the only person from Kasganj booked on Ayodhya verdict day.
