Bengaluru: Namma metro services between R V Road and Yelachenahalli to be suspended from November 14 to 17

With Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) taking up the work of launching of viaduct superstructures on the span across the operational Green Line, on the south of RV Road Metro station, services between R V Road and Yelachenahalli on the Green Line will be suspended from 5am on November 14 (Thursday) to November 17 (Sunday) to facilitate new Metro line construction work to Bommasandra.

BENGALURU: With Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) taking up the work of launching of viaduct superstructures on the span across the operational Green Line, on the south of RV Road Metro station, services between R V Road and Yelachenahalli on the Green Line will be suspended from 5am on November 14 (Thursday) to November 17 (Sunday) to facilitate new Metro line construction work to Bommasandra.

"This work is part of the development of R V Road Metro station as an interchange between the present Green Line and the under construction Electronics City Metro corridor," said BMRCL Chief Public Relations Officer B L Yashavanth Chavan in a statement on Sunday.
However, services between R V Road and Nagasandra on the Green Line will not be affected.
BMRCL officials said normal train services between Nagasandra and Yelachenahalli will be resumed from 5am on November 18.
BMRCL will arrange free BMTC bus services between R V Road and Yelachenahalli Metro station on all these four days for the convenience of passengers. "Buses will be available from 5:30am to 11:45pm from R V Road Metro station and from 4:45am to 10:30pm from Yelachenahalli Metro station on November 14, 15 and 16", it said.
However, on Sunday (November 17), bus services will start from Yelachenahalli at 6:30am and from R V Road at 7:15am. These buses will stop at intermediate Metro stations including Banashankari and JP Nagar. Metro passengers are requested to avail this facility. However, on Purple Line, Metro train services will run as usual, the release adds.
