A grand launch

Several top Tollywood celebrities and politicians turned up for the launch of Ashok Galla’s debut film at Rama Naidu studios.

Ashok Galla’s debut film was launched on Sunday amidst great fanfare, with several political bigwigs and top Tollywood celebs attending the launch to wish the youngster all success.

Ram Charan, who was the special guest, did the honours at the muhurat. “Despite our big age difference, Jay Galla is one of my best friends,” said Ram Charan. Actor Rana Daggubati also wished

the young actor all success. “Welcome to the movies,” said Rana, congratulating Ashok.

Addressing Jay Galla, Rana added, “Thank you for everything you have done. You will be a great influence on your son and I am sure he is going to rock.”

Srikakulam M.P. Ram Mohan Naidu was the centre of attraction as many people thronged to take pictures with him.

Meanwhile, Jay Galla’s second son Siddharth, who looked dapper, attracted many glances too. “He too will soon make his debut in films,” shared a source.

Interestingly, many people from Guntur — Jay Galla’s hometown — turned up for the event even as photographers struggled to take pictures. Actor Rana came to the rescue of one such hapless soul by taking his camera and clicking a couple of pictures for him!

When the veteran superstar Krishna arrived, both Rana and grandson Ashok bent down to touch his feet. Also seen were Vijayawada M.P. Kesineni Nani, YSRCP M.P. Raghurama Raju and Mahesh Babu’s wife, Namrata.

Later, at the media briefing, Jay Galla explained that though he is fluent in Telugu, he would speak in English to explain his entry into the entertainment industry.

The entire Galla family — including Galla Aruna Kumari, her husband, daughter and grandchildren and the Ghattamaneni family — attended the function. Actors Sushanth, Sudheer Babu, V. K. Naresh and Amala Akkineni were also present.
