PATNA: Thousands of Muslim devotees thronged Khanqah-E-Mujibiya on Sunday to have a glimpse of holy relics (hair) of Prophet Muhammad, which was displayed on his birth anniversary, which is celebrated as
Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Nitish Kumar offered ‘chaadar’ on the shrine of Hazrat Muhammad Sayyed Shah Peer Muhammad Mujibullah Quadri Rahmatullah Aleh at Khanqah-E-Mujibiya in Phulwarisharif.
He prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the state and country.

Devotees take part in procession of Eid Milhad- un- nabi in PatnaNitish said he visits the shrine every year and pray for peace. “People should live in peace and maintain brotherhood,” he said.
According to Islamic belief, Prophet was born on the 12th of Rabi-al-Awwal (third month of Islamic calendar) and it was also the month when he passed away.
Devotees carried out Milad procession from several parts of the city and gathered near
Kargil Chowk. They later congregated at Patna College ground for ‘Taqreer’ led by head of Edara-E-Shariah and JD(U) MLC Maulana Gulam Rasool Balyawi. The procession was carried out under heavy security deployed arrangements.
Devotees carried tricolour and green flags with silver crescent. Special arrangements of snacks were made by locals near Sabzibagh and
Ashok Rajpath. Several Muslim clerics threw light on the teachings of Prophet. They asked the devotees to maintain peace and harmony in society and follow the teaching of Prophet.
