Foggy mornings to continue in Bengaluru, says weatherman

BENGALURU: As foggy weather resulted in disruption of several flights at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Sunday morning and troubled motorists venturing out, the weatherman has forecasted similar weather conditions to prevail during morning hours for a few more days.
“Fog or mist cover very likely during early morning hours in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures very likely to be around 30 and 20 degree Celsius, respectively.
Rain or thundershowers are also very likely,” said a weather alert from Meteorological Centre, Bengaluru.
On Saturday night, Bengaluru city received a total rainfall of close to 5 cm.
According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC), the maximum rainfall of 57.5 mm on Saturday night was recorded at Vidyapeeth area in south Bengaluru. Of the total 99 telemetric rain gauge stations maintained by the Centre, seven stations recorded rather heavy rainfall and 21 stations recorded moderate rain.
