NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students' union has called for a university strike on Monday as the varsity celebrates its convocation. The union has called for a strike to protest the provisions of the draft hostel manual.
The Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, and HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be the chief guests at the convocation.
The manual proposes an increase in hostel fees, change in dress code and curfew timings.

All student organisations from different political outfits are protesting against the manual, stating that it is against the "culture" of the university.
