The Seacoast was well represented in the Division I volleyball postseason with three teams reaching the semifinals. The same is true for the postseason awards that were recently released by the New Hampshire Volleyball Coaches Association.

Dover’s Rachel Vitko, Portsmouth’s Corinne Lamond and Winnacunnet’s Audrey Simmons were all named first-team All-State in Division I, while Winnacunnet’s Ben Molnar was named Division I Coach of the Year.

Molnar led the Warriors to a 15-6 record and a final four berth in his first season on the bench. With Simmons at the fore, they made their first tournament appearance since 2014 and advanced past the quarterfinal round for the first time in more than a decade.

Lamond, Vitko and their teams squared off in the D-I semifinals, with Dover advancing to the championship match in five sets.

Dover’s Sierra Castonguay and Mia Whitehead were picked second-team All-State, along with Exeter’s Sam Wiberg. Portsmouth’s Eli Omahen and Spaulding’s April Beatty earned D-I honorable mention.

Dover’s Katie Rebrovich was named Division I JV Coach of the Year.

In Division II, first-team All-State honors went to Coe-Brown teammates Abby Jerome and Niki Smith; Oyster River’s Corinne Quaglieri and St. Thomas Aquinas’ Mady Buchalski.

Second-team honors went to Oyster River’s Maggie Sylvester and Somersworth’s Emily Ferland, while STA’s Kateri True earned D-II honorable mention.

In Division III, first-team All-State honors went to Eppinig’s Oakley Lustenberger and Farmington’s Chloe Weeks.

Epping’s Jasmyne Bickford and Farmington’s Haley Maynard were picked to the second team, while Epping’s Hayley Pelletier earned D-III honorable mention.

FIELD HOCKEY

Eight local players were named first-team All-State earlier this month in postseason awards announced by the New Hampshire Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Earning first-team honors in Division I were Dover teammates Kylie Nelson-Marois and Jeannine Turgeon, Winnacunnet teammates Grace Michael and Sam Crochetiere, and Exeter’s Audrey Farrar.

D-I second-team honors went to Exeter teammates Maddie Davis and Maddie Gilmartin, Dover’s Jess Couture, and Winnacunnet’s Carolyn Thompson.

In Division II, first-team honors were earned by Oyster River’s Laura Dreher and Portsmouth’s Victoria Watson. OR teammates Leah Manning and Cameron Jester were both named to the D-II second team along with Portsmouth teammates Olivia Hammer and Julianna Hillman.

In Division III, STA’s Olivia Kimball earned first-team honors, while teammate Brooke Chandler was picked to the second team.
