That's truly God's work. The prayers for my family, I'm beyond thankful for. A six hour surgery went to 12 hours and although they were anxious and scared, your prayers got them through. Thank you. It means more than y'all will ever know."

Leave it to Snooki to take a fender bender to the extreme. The "Jersey Shore" star crashed into a police car while filming in Florence in May 2011. According to the Italian police, "it was nothing serious." But Snooki seized the opportunity to make a real fashion statement. The reality star was photographed wearing a neck brace following the incident (not to mention those shoes), but the medical accessory seemed to just be a joke. Mariah Carey is trying to start a new trend -- fashionable arm slings. Not one to let something so trivial as a dislocated shoulder slow her down, the singer donned not one, but TWO different blinged out slings while making the red carpet rounds to promote her new movie "The Butler" in New York City on Aug. 5, 2013. The diva wore a black lace sleeve that seamlessly matched her dress while attending a press conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (l.) before changing into a different studded leather look for the movie's red carpet premiere later in the day. Carey suffered a dislocated shoulder on the set of her new music video in July 2013 and has since taken a few creative liberties when it comes to dressing up her sling.

Pat Sajak remains hospitalized after undergoing surgery last week, but is on the mend, the “Wheel of Fortune” host himself said.

Sajak, who is recovering from emergency surgery to correct a blocked intestine, said on Twitter Monday that he remains hospitalized but would be released soon.

“I’m so grateful for all the good wishes during my recent illness,” Sajak tweeted. “Happy to say that the worst has passed, and I’ll be out of the hospital in a day of two, then back to work (unless @TheVannaWhite has completely taken over!)”

Sajak’s “Wheel of Fortune” cohort Vanna White has filled in as host since he became ill.

White wished Sajak a speedy recovery on Twitter.

“Wheel of Fortune without Pat Sajak is like a word without vowels,” she tweeted.

“I’ll fill in the blanks until you return,” she added. “Rest up and we’ll be solving puzzles in no time. (Don’t worry, your job is safe! Well, pretty safe.)”

Sajak, a Chicago native, has hosted the syndicated game show since 1981.
