Kate Garraway has become the eighth star to touch down in Australia ready for this weekend's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! series.

Kate will join Caitlyn Jenner, Ian Wright, Andrew Maxwell, Jacqueline Jossa, James Haskell and Myles Stephenson in the jungle camp this Sunday when the new series launches.

She was spotted arriving at Brisbane Airport surrounded by security, wearing a beautiful tiger-print dress as she wheeled her luggage through the arrivals lounge.

Arriving full of smiles, Kate told the Mirror: "I'm terrified if I'm honest, I think I'll be rubbish. I thought it would be good to tackle those fears and face them head-on. I'm afraid of all of it."

Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle and radio DJ Roman Kemp are yet to arrive Down Under, but are confirmed to be taking part in the line-up.

Kate, 52, is leaving behind her husband and their two sons, William and Darcey, to go on an adventure.

Last night saw the first official pictures of the I'm A Celeb stars drop, ready to be parachuted in to camp.

Kate was in two minds whether to take up the opportunity, and even considered pulling out before being talked into it by her colleague Piers Morgan.

Speaking on Tuesday's GMB after the confirmation Kate was on the bill, Piers said fans would love Kate on the show.

He said on air: "Kate rang me about three or four weeks ago when she first got approached.

"She said what do you think and I said, 'Do you know what, you should absolutely do it'."

Piers added: "I said if you do this show you can hang out for three weeks in the jungle.

"I think she is going to be very hard working. People will love her. She is going to be all the gritty things you need."

But Susanna Reid wasn't so sure about his claims of Kate having second thoughts.

She said: "I think she only rang you as a courtesy call. I don’t think Kate was in any doubt about doing it."

But Piers insisted this was the case, adding: "No no no. She was genuinely in two minds because it can go two ways.

"If you get bounced out straight away and that public rejection."

Meanwhile, Kate could have some competition on her hands if she thinks she can win the show and be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Caitlyn believes she has a secret advantage over the other campmates, as she's already taken part in the US version of I'm A Celebrity 16 years before her transition, when she was known as Bruce Jenner.

"Being in the jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks. Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul!" she admitted.

Caitlyn, who has ten children including Kylie and Kendall Jenner, said she was probed by family about why she decided to take part.

"I said, you know what, I need a break, I like challenges," she laughed.

She's believed to be the highest-paid star of the series, reportedly signing up for a cool £500,000 fee.

TV bosses will be hoping she spills the beans on her famous reality TV family the Kardashians, and lets loose about their recent feud sparked by her falling out with ex-wife Kris Jenner.
