Backstage Rumor on WWE Response to Superstars Asking for Their Releases
– During today’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed the backstage attitude within WWE regarding the recent talents asking for their releases from the company. As previously reported, Sin Cara publicly asked for his release from the company this week. This is after he signed a new multi-year contract earlier this year.
According to Meltzer, there are people within WWE who believe the talent asking for their releases should be let go because they are unhappy. However, there are backstage officials operating from the position of “No one’s getting fired, and no one’s released.”
Other Superstars who have asked for their releases this year include Luke Harper and Mike Kanellis, who have yet to be granted a release. Also, as noted, WWE reportedly does not plan on granting Sin Cara his requested release.
