Bihar's fake note dealer in Kolkata police net

The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police has nabbed another Bihar-based fake currency dealer Vikas Kumar Das - a resident of Chhapra - from Gostho Pal Sarani near Eden Garden Park on Monday evening.

KOLKATA: The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police has nabbed another Bihar-based fake currency dealer Vikas Kumar Das - a resident of Chhapra - from Gostho Pal Sarani near Eden Garden Park on Monday evening.
Earlier on September 18, police had arrested a FICN racketeer identified as Raju V of Kanchipuram of Tamil Nadu from Sealdah area who informed police about the trio arrested on Thursday.
Police said the fresh arrest is part of its efforts to nab the inter-state racketeers who are trying to use Bengal as a base.
"We have found fake notes of face value of Rs 5 lakh (250 notes of Rs 2,000 denomination) in his possession. Vikas claimed that he was part of a well-organized racket. Even the quality of the fake notes is of the highest order," said joint CP (STF) Subhankar Sinha.
