From Tirupati to Siddhivinayak: 5 moments of Deepika Padukone embracing the divine

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh began their first wedding anniversary celebrations today, on a spiritual note. Dressed in their finest traditional attire, the star-couple headed to the Tirupati temple to seek the Lord’s blessings with their families by their side.
Deepika later shared a photo from the temple premises and issued a statement that read, “As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.Thank You all for your love, prayers and good wishes!”

The photo saw doting hubby Ranveer whispering sweet nothings to his wife that seemed to have brought a wide smile to her face.
It is wonderful to see that the actress chose to commence this special day in her life with a solemn prayer ceremony with family instead of ringing in the day with an extravagant bash. Deepika Padukone is often spotted at the Mumbai famous Siddhivinayak temple. She offers prayers at the temple before the release of her films, hence when she returned to the city after tying the knot with Ranveer Singh in Italy, it was the first holy site she visited with her hubby by her side.
Lalbaugcha Raja

As the city revelled in the festivities of Ganesh Chaturthi, Deepika Padukone joined in by visiting the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal. Looking gorgeous in a heavily embroidered saree, Deepika was clicked offering prayers to Bappa. Sadly, the spiritual experience cause panic as the actress was mobbed by fans who rushed to catch a glimpse of her as soon as news of her presence in the pandal spread.
Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah

Ahead of the release of her super-successful film, 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', Deepika was clicked at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah in Ajmer. Although her visit stirred up a controversy, the actress later said in a statement that she visited the 12th century because she believes in “worship and god.”
Golden temple

Back in 2011, Deepika Padukone was spotted paying a visit to the Golden Temple to seek blessings from the almighty. Reports claimed that the actress made a small donation to the temple and spent over an hour in its premises, and was allegedly left overcome with emotions by the end of her visit.
