Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visits Arunachal Pradesh for ‘Maitree Diwas’

“This festival symbolises the patriotism of the people of the region and their close relationship with the Armed Forces. The civil-military friendship is an assurance that the nation’s borders are doubly safe. He called for oneness among people, civil administration, Police and Central Armed Police Forces to realise the dream of New India,” said Defence Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh during his visit to Arunachal Pradesh for ‘Maitree Diwas’.

During the event, the Union Minister stressed on the government’s plan to establish North East Industrial Corridor to facilitate the people of the region with numerous job opportunities.

The Indian Army, Tawang civil administration and volunteers have jointly organised the two-day socio-military cultural extravaganza at the high-altitude stadium that symbolises the spirit of solidarity and patriotic fervour running amongst the residents of Tawang district.
