A 19-year-old has been arrested after four teenagers were stabbed outside Oldham Leisure Centre.

The four victims, aged between 17 to 19, suffered stab wounds after a row broke out between the group of teenagers.

All four teenagers were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries following the incident on Thursday at 4.30pm.

Three of the victims remain in hospital, while one man has since been discharged.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault in connection to the incident.

He remains in police custody for questioning.

A shocked takeaway owner has described the shocking moment two of the injured men walked into his business covered in blood.

Adeel Shazad, who owns Kebabish Peri Peri across the road, said staff called for an ambulance and used paper towels to try and stop the bleeding.

He told the M.E.N: "The staff here looked after the lads, they came running in, bloodied up.

"We got lots of paper towels, we had to phone an ambulance, the police turned up.

"One of my staff, Azhar, was with them until the ambulance arrived, and he went out to the ambulance with them.

"I'm really proud of him for what he did. He's really shocked by what happened.  I told him to go home after but he didn't want to. I'm proud of my staff. "

The other two injured teenagers are believed to have ran into the leisure centre where they were helped by staff.

Greater Manchester Police said enquiries are ongoing and continue to appeal for witnesses.
