At Gitam’s 10th convocation, over 800 awarded degrees

He was speaking as the chief guest at the 10th convocation of Gitam deemed to be university, here on Friday.

HYDERABAD: Art of visualising the invisible is essential to achieve success in the field of science, said BN Suresh, Isro research scientist and vice-chancellor of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram. He was speaking as the chief guest at the 10th convocation of Gitam deemed to be university, here on Friday.
As many as 720 engineering and science students as well as 72 MBA, 13 M.Tech, and 19 research scholars received their degrees.

A brief annual report, including Gitam’s 2025 vision document, was also presented at the event. “The institute plans to collaborate with colleges globally to create more opportunities for students in India as well as abroad while continuing to work on their employability in local and international industries,” said K Ramakrishna Rao, vice-chancellor of Gitam-Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Gitam-Hyderabad and USA’s Rowan University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for engineering and MBA programmes to boost collaborative research and development through exchange of academic resources and personnel.
