Courtesy Photo Above are speaker Gordon Snow and Alpena Garden Club member Esther Meno.

The November meetig of the Alpena Garden Club was held at the Alpena Mall on Monday, Nov. 4.

The club applauds Doug Pratt who once again provided a delicious luncheon for the group.

Kay Breckenbridge opened the meeting. Officers were elected and several changes were made to the bylaws. Garden questions were answered. The group made two generous donations to Habitat for Humanity and the Metz Fire project.

Esther Meno introduced Gordon Snow, retired Alpena High School teacher and world traveler, who gave an interesting slide presentation on monarch butterflies and his trip to Mexico.

On commitee were Meno, Jackie Olsen, Dave Melville, Barb Mink and Nona Valley.

The afternoon ended with the group shopping at PRATTScape.

The December Christmas party will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Ripley Boulevard.
