MS Dhoni has apparently taken a liking to golf. The former India captain has been spotted quite a few times in the recent past on lush golf courses.

On Saturday, MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and India teammate Kedar Jadhav took to Instagram to post a photograph of themselves along with former India pacer RP Singh from an early-morning golf session.

In his time away from international cricket, MS Dhoni has been spending time with friends and family. In fact, Dhoni took part in a golf tournament in the United States in September.

Dhoni, who is an honourary member of Metuchen Golf and Country Club in Ediston, took part in the tournament and finished at the 2nd spot along with his friend Rajiv Sharma in the flight category. The duo reportedly won 5 matches in the tournament. It was Rajiv who had introduced Golf to Dhoni, according to CricketNext.

Dhoni has been spending time on golf course along with Kedar Jadhav ever since the Cricket World Cup 2019.

Dhoni has not played for Team India since their semi-final exit at the World Cup. Dhoni made himself unavailable for selection for India's tour of West Indies in August as he took a sabbatical to train with the Para Regiment of the Indian Army in Kashmir.

He did not play the limited-over series against South Africa at home and wasn't part of the T20I team that beat Bangladesh 2-1 in a recently-concluded series.

However, Dhoni was seen training at the nets at JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on Friday. Dhoni took throwdowns during the session. It remains to be seen if the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman will make himself available for the upcoming T20I series, starting December 6 against West Indies.

Speculations around Dhoni's international future remain but chief selector MSK Prasad said the team is moving on from Dhoni after announcing the squads for Bangladesh series.

"We are moving on, we are very clear. Post World Cup we have been clear. We started backing (Rishabh) Pant and wanted to see him do well. He may not have had the best of matches but we are clear, we are focusing on him only," Prasad had said.
