A crash has closed a key route out of Caernarfon.

The collision occurred on the B4366 today at around 2.40pm.

The road is shut and people are advised to find diversions.

Update

Bethel Road is still showing up as closed in both directions. We’ve had no word from the emergency services as to when it will reopen. Updates when we have them.

Location of RTC

I’ve just been informed that the accident has now been confirmed as having taken place between Pengelli Wyn (Caernarfon) and Rhyd Y Galen Caravan Park (Bethel). Traffic is still coping well but Bethel Road B4366 remains closed in both directions. I’m still awaiting information from the emergency services but will update you when I have details.

NW Fire & Rescue

A spokesperson for the NW Fire & Rescue Service has told me that crews have not - as of yet - been tasked with assisting emergency services at the collision. More updates to follow when we have them.

North Wales Police have warned motorists to avoid the affected area of the B4366 following the collision.
