India registered their fourth Test win on the trot this season as the Virat Kohli-led side demolished Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs in the first of the two-Test series in Indore on Day 3. With the win, India took a 1-0 lead in the 2-match series with the final match -- first Day/Night Test on Indian soil -- set to take place from November 22 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.The stars of the win in the Test for India were run-machine Mayank Agarwal and the pacers. The trio of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav took a total of 14 wickets in the match to demolish the visitors in both the innings. After bundling out Bangladesh for 150 in the first innings, Mayank's 243-run masterclass set the platform for an innings win for India. In the second innings, Bangladesh showed a little more fight (213 all out) but that was not enough to avoid an innings defeat.

Ishant Sharma after the win - "I am not treated as a senior, we don't have anything like that. We always enjoy each other's success, speak with each other and try and share our plans. It's difficult to explain (his bowling renaissance), I have played quite a lot, I'm 31 (laughs), the bowling is taking a toll on my body, but I'm enjoying it, trying out different variations. Shami has played with the pink ball, need to ask him for a few tips (a few jokes around)."
Mohammed Shami: "The more we get tired, the better fun we have. We push each other. We try to enjoy each other's success. There are certain things I cannot even say. Given his (Umesh) power, all the boundaries in India are smaller. We don't have restrictions as batters. The team management has given us freedom. We try to bat sensibly though when there is a batter at the other end. I have been empowered by the skipper and the coach. I bowl alongside Ishant and Umesh as well. That makes it easier for me. I focus on my length and have been able to execute it well."
Umesh Yadav: "I learnt from my father in my childhood to be strong. He made me run a lot. I try to maintain the strength. Earlier, the new ball was for pacers. But now we know our strengths. We try to take wickets with the ball and make it easier for spinners. My batting coach and skipper tell me to enjoy my batting. Kohli told me to bat quickly in the last Test against SA. I try to deliver whatever is expected of me."

And, it's all over for Bangladesh in the first Test. India post an emphatic win over the Tigers in the first Test to go 1-0 up in the 2-match Test series. Ashwin takes the final wicket as India wrap up the match inside three days. Bangladesh are all out for 213 in the second innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan have already stitched a 56-run partnership for the seventh wicket and showing signs of another resistance. Will they take the game to the fourth day or will India wrap it up in the final session. Third and final session on Day 3 gets underway.
Tea Break!
Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das showed a brief fight in the second session but Ashwin struck at the right time to break their 63-run stand as Bangladesh continued their downslide on Day 3 of the Indore Test. Resuming on 60/4 after lunch, Mohammed Shami once again struck early to remove Mahmudullah for 15. Rahim and Liton then showed resistance as they took on the India spinners. But Ashwin triumphed eventually as he got rid of Liton for 35 with a soft return catch. Rahim (53*) was the lone warrior for the visitors as he struck a fighting fifty. Bangladesh were 191/6 at tea, still 152 runs behind India's first innings total.

India pacers wreaked havoc once again as Bangladesh were reeling at 60/4 in their second innings at lunch on Day 3 of the Indore Test. Ahead of the start of play, India declared on their overnight score of 493/6, with a big 343-run lead. India pacers went to their usual business as they tormented the Bangladesh batting line-up again. Umesh Yadav got the breakthrough early for India as he cleaned up Imrul Kayes (6) with an in-dipper. Ishant Sharma struck in the successive over, removing the other opener Shadman Islam for 6. Pace spearhead Mohammed Shami then took over and got Mominul Haque (7) and Mohammad Mithun (18) in successive overs to put India just six wickets away from an impressive win. Bangladesh are still 283 runs behind with two days and two sessions remaining in the match.

12.5 overs: Review from India! Mohammed Shami traps Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque in front of the stumps. But umpire Rod Tucker rules not out. Virat Kohli goes for the review after consulting with Shami and Saha. And he is right! Replay shows that the ball was hitting the leg stump. Haque is OUT! RECAP, DAY 2:
Mayank Agarwal struck his second double century in four Tests as India built a giant 343 first innings lead over Bangladesh on day two of their opening Test. The 28-year-old opener, who has hit three tons including two double hundreds in his last five Test innings, hit eight sixes and 28 fours in his 243. Agarwal passed 200 with a six off Mehidy Hasan and went on with his big hits until he was finally caught at deep mid-wicket by Abu Jayed off Mehidy. He left to another standing ovation.
India were 493 for six at stumps in response to Bangladesh's 150 all out on Thursday. Ravindra Jadeja, on 60, and Umesh Yadav, on 25, were at the crease promising more fireworks.
Jadeja celebrated with his trademark sword dance when he reach a half-century in 72 balls, while Yadav smashed three sixes in his 10-ball blitz. Left-hander Jadeja kept up the attack after a 123-run partnership with Agarwal for the fourth wicket.
Agarwal also made 190 with Ajinkya Rahane, who shot 86, after the hosts resumed the day on 86 for one.
Rahane became paceman Abu Jayed's fourth victim of the innings soon after the tea break. But Agarwal relentlessly hit the bowlers to the boundary after completing his second 200-plus score in eighth Test appearance since making his debut last year in Melbourne. His previous best was 215 in the first Test against South Africa last month.
Agarwal's marathon knock eased Indian nerves after skipper Virat Kohli was out for a duck -- his 10th in 83 Tests -- in the first session.
Abu, who sent opener Rohit Sharma packing for six on Thursday, got Cheteshwar Pujara (54) caught at gully soon after the overnight batsman completed his fifty with a boundary. But it was Kohli's wicket that briefly brought joy to Bangladesh after they successfully reviewed an lbw appeal rejected by the umpire. Replays indicated the ball would have hit leg stump.
India's pace bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami who took three wickets, dealt with Bangladesh on the opening day of the two-match series after the tourists won the toss but chose to bat first on a green wicket.
