RYAN: BREAKING TONIGHT, POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED A SUSPECT IN A DOUBLE SHOOTING IN THE CITY’S CARRICK NEIGHBORHOOD EARLIER THIS WEEK. HE IS 22-YEAR-OLD CODY SMITH. BRITTANY: POLICE SAY SMITH SHOT TWO TEENAGERS ALONG WESTMONT AVENUE ON THURSDAY. ONE VICTIM WAS SHOT IN THE SHOULDER, THE OTHER IN THE HEAD. BOTH SURVIVED. Shooting happened in 1900 block of Westmont Avenue

Pittsburgh police have issued an arrest warrant for the man accused of shooting two teenagers in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood Thursday afternoon. Cody Smith, 23, of Pittsburgh is wanted for charges including criminal attempted homicide and aggravated assault. Watch Sky 4 video from the scene in the video player above. Police said Smith shot two teenagers along Westmont Avenue on Thursday. Police said both victims are males and their ages were not immediately known. One victim was shot in the back of the head and the other was shot in the shoulder. Both victims were transported to an area hospital in stable condition, according to police. The victims said Smith was one of three people who came up behind them and told them to empty their pockets in a robbery attempt. Police arrested another suspect, 20-year-old Desmond Jones, who they said was one of the three people who robbed the teenagers. He is also charged as an accessory in the shooting.
