Newly renovated tennis court in Tyler Park vandalized with anti-police graffiti
A graffiti vandal targeted a newly renovated tennis court in the Highlands.According to the Tyler Park Neighborhood Association, someone vandalized the tennis court with what appears to be anti-police graffiti."It looked like someone had taken some paint and a large paint brush and written Kill Cops on the tennis courts," Kristen Millwood, president of the Tyler Park Neighborhood Association, said. Metro Parks worked to partially cover the text, but they say it will still need a new top coat."In the long-term we're going to have to wait for when the weather conditions are right and then a tennis court contractor will come in and take care of it," Millwood said.The vandalism comes as the park is in the middle of a $1.1 million renovation project. "We're going to have a new ramp connecting the upper and lower parts, a new sprayground, a new playground, we're going to have a pickleball court (and) a basketball court," Millwood said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Louisville Metro Police Department at 574-LMPD.
