UP: Rs 11 lakh looted from poultry farm in Amethi

LUCKNOW: Unidentified armed assailants looted Rs 11 lakh from a private farm by holding its employees hostage at gunpoint in Munshiganj area of Amethi on Monday. The police are tracing the CCTV footage to trace the miscreants.
Owner of the Agro Hatcheries Private Limited, Mahfooz Khan told in his complaint to the police that around 8.30am, two masked men holding pistols entered the farm and demanded to see the accountant.
Later, the duo trained a pistol at the head of the accountant and decamped with Rs 11 lakh cash which was to be deposited in the bank.
“The duo also slapped the accountant and before leaving fired several rounds in the air,” Khan added in his complaint to the police.
SHO Munshiganj, Nazmul Hussain said that a case was being registered. There are no CCTVs installed inside the farm.
