Google Stadia adds 10 extra video game titles to the game streaming service on eve of debut following criticism of 'weak' launch line-up
- The cloud-based platform lets users stream games to any device with Chrome
- It was originally announced that Stadia would launch with a 12-game roster
- When this small lineup met criticism, the launch of 10 more games was advanced
- Stadia will go live with titles including Final Fantasy XV, Rage 2 and Grid 2019
Google has announced that the number of games available on its Stadia streaming service at launch tomorrow has almost doubled — with 22 titles to choose from.
The cloud-gaming platform — which will only require an internet connection and the Google Chrome browser to access — had previously been set to go live with only 12 games.
After public criticism of the lineup, Google vice president Phil Harrison announced additions to the platform, which include Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Rage 2.

'Excited to announce that we are INCREASING the Day One launch line-up of titles for @GoogleStadia — we now have TWENTY TWO games launching with the platform on Tuesday,' Mr Harrison wrote on Twitter.
'Huge thank you to our game developer and publisher partners for bringing more titles #stadia.'
The 10 new titles were always intended to feature on the platform. However, they were previously not expected to be ready for launch on November 19.
More titles will be added in the coming months, with Borderlands 3, Darksiders Genesis, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint all set to join Stadia before the year is out.
Stadia will be playable on desktop computers, tablets, smartphones, smart televisions, digital media players and via Chromecast.
Google will also be selling controllers designed for use with the service.

'We were perhaps a little conservative in our forecast last week and [...] our partners did an awesome job getting last few kinks ironed out and through testing,' Mr Harrison said on Twitter, commenting on the additions to Stadia's launch lineup.
The move could be an attempt to bolster the platform's lukewarm reception, however, which followed both the small initial game lineup and previous announcements that many other features would not be available at launch.
Google had previously admitted that, at launch, the controller would not support wireless headphones; Stadia will not integrate fully with Google Assistant and many pre-orders will not be dispatched in time for the launch date.
