Teenagers across Willenhall are invited to free event tackling knife crime in the area.

Free pizza and soft drinks will be available at the event hosted at Willenhall CHART community hub on Gomer Road.

The event is taking place today (November 19), from 6pm until 8pm and welcomes schoolchildren from the age of 13 upwards.

Giving a keynote speech about his personal experiences with crime, former prisoner Michael Miles will talk about the dangers of gangs, carrying weapons and life behind bars.

Michael now runs his own youth programme educating youngsters to understand the consequences of people's actions, how crime affects victims and anger management.

Sergeant Jonathan Lander said: "Please may I make you aware of a free event for young people aged between 13-19 years old being hosted at Willenhall CHART on Tuesday, November 19 between 6pm-8pm.

"The event has been organised by PCSO Lally and PCSO Zetu. The event will also include input on first aid and a knife crime awareness knife arch."

Willenhall CHART will be providing free pizza and drinks for attendees.
