Posted — UpdatedCrews responded to the large PPD building, located at 3900 Paramount Parkway, around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
More than a dozen firefighters responded to the scene and were working on multiple floors of the building. A Cary 911 operator confirmed there was no fire and said construction from sheetrock caused a haze, which was mistaken for smoke.
