Secunderabad: Man booked for drawing water illegally

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) registered a criminal case against a man in Nacharam for illegally obtaining a connection from a pipeline supplied by tanks.

SECUNDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) registered a criminal case against a man in Nacharam for illegally obtaining a connection from a pipeline supplied by tanks.
According to a press release by the HMWS&SB, the owners of the Nacharam Housing Board Colony 5-2-117 were found using water without adequate permissions and a case was filed against the landlord, G Kishore.

The illegal water connection was discontinued and Kishore was charged under Sections 269 and 430 of the Indian Penal Code. Officials warned residents tp not restore the connections without permission.
The water board officers have been taking strict action against those with illegal connections and criminal cases were also registered in many areas such as Uppal, Tarnaka, Habsiguda etc.
The board intends to continue the drive against illegal connections in Secunderabad areas, officials said.
