IGNOU launches a new PG programme in Computer Applications

The PG course has been divided into two semesters per year and there will be two examinations every year, in the month of June and in the month of December.

Indira Gandhi National Open University ’s School of Computer and Information Sciences has launched a new post graduate programme. The introduced course is called Diploma in Computer Applications and will start from the January 2020 admission cycle.

The minimum duration of the course is 1 year and the maximum duration of the exam is 4 years and the course is offered in both January and July cycle of admissions. There is no age limit for the candidates.

Course eligibility:

The candidate must have any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years’ duration from a recognised University and mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation level.

The fee for the course is Rs 10,800 per semester and for non-maths students, the candidates will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 1,400.

This PG Diploma in Computer Applications consists of 12 courses worth 36 credits and is designed with a semester approach in mind. It has been divided into two semesters per year and there will be two examinations every year, in June for the January to June semester and in the month of December for the July to December courses.
