TAPMI's flagship event 'BrandScan' moves to new base in Udupi
MANIPAL: T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal has announced the inauguration of the 27th edition of BrandScan, India’s largest market research fair organised by students of TAPMI, on November 23 at Christian School Ground in Udupi. A must-have experience for every management student, BrandScan is a unique platform where students solve live projects from companies under the guidance of experienced faculty and industry professionals to provide novel business solutions.

The research includes collecting data from customers, analysing, interpreting and thus providing insights to companies based on the analysis of the collected data. The projects are conducted in close association with Nielsen, market research advisor and Virtusa, analytics partner. Latest edition of the event will be a 2-day event and is organised in semi-urban format. BrandScan has witnessed an average footfall of over 10,000 and 60,000 at Manipal and Bengaluru respectively.
Shirshendu Ganguli, faculty chair, BrandScan, said “BrandScan, this year has entered a new era with new venue and new format. We are doing both disguised and pan-India structured MR projects. I hope it will scale new heights this year and in the years to come.” BrandScan encompasses several events, including Little Stars, a one-stop event exclusively designed for children in the age group of 5–14 years; Race 2 Freedom, an inter-school cycle race for children in age group of 4 – 11 years.
It also includes Dance Udupi Dance, hardcore dance event; Comedyville, stand-up comedy show; Whiplash, rock band competition, Voice of Udupi, singing competition; Putugosi Manushya, drama that centres on destructive attitude of humans and panache, where participants are encouraged to take the centre stage with their stellar designs and expert walk. The team and TAPMI aims to reach a notch higher in terms of both participants as well as footfall during the current edition.
