It’s hard to believe, but Marshall Burns didn’t have a solo record until now. The Regina country-esque singer-songwriter is celebrating his first solo album release at the Artesian on Thursday, Nov. 21, 7:30 p.m. Backing Burns for his Dogs and Booze release show are Jeff Romanyk, Ian Cameron, Chris Sleightholm and Andy Beisel. Tickets are $20 in advance at artesianon13th.ca and at Paper Umbrella, and $25 at the door.

Get your 90s nostalgia fix with Wannabe, a tribute to the Spice Girls, at the Casino Regina Show Lounge on Thursday, Nov. 21, 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25.

Death Angel, Exmortis, and Hell Fire play a metal show at the Exchange on Thursday, Nov. 21. Doors at 7 p.m. and cover is $25.

Friday marks your last chance to see where the hour floats, an exhibition by Amalie Atkins at the Art Gallery of Regina. The gallery’s hours are 11-7 p.m. Thursday and 1-5 p.m. Friday.

The Storytellers Club presents “In The Company of Good Men.” Hear Nathan Sgrazzutti, Lee Forsberg, Joachim Smadu, Sundance Robson and Nono Ryan on the theme of finding strength in vulnerability. This is Friday, Nov. 22, 7:30 p.m. at the Artesian. Tickets are $30.

Regina Word Up youth team performs Friday, Nov. 22, 7:30 p.m. at the Creative City Centre. $5 admission.

The Youth Ballet Company of Saskatchewan performs Winter Wonderland on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the University Theatre, University of Regina Riddell Centre. Tickets are for sale at the door, and in advance at the school and at Dancer’s Den — $30 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, and $10 for children age five and under.

Andre-Philippe Gagnon promises to have you laughing with his impressions during this comedy show at the Casino Regina Show Lounge on Friday, Nov. 22, 8 p.m. Tickets are $45.

Country-folk musician Zachary Lucky performs Friday, Nov. 22, 8 p.m. in a GrassRoots Regina show at The Exchange. Lexy Desjarlais opens the show. Tickets are $20.

Find arts and crafts during Holiday Bazaart at the MacKenzie Art Gallery on Saturday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $5 for MAG members and $7 for non-members.

Neutral Ground Presents: Structurally Sound, a group exhibition with Saskatoon artists Cameron McKay, Laura Payne and Derek Sandbeck, curated by David Stonhouse. Each artist has a sculptural approach to painting that is a mix of geometric abstraction and constructivism with references to architecture and the digital age. Each exhibition exists uniquely, as the artists respond to the site and collaborate differently with one another. The opening reception is Saturday, Nov. 23, 8-11 p.m. An artists’ talk is Sunday, Nov. 24, 1-2 p.m. The exhibition runs through Jan. 11, and regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

There’s a jam at Broadway’s Lounge on Saturday, Nov. 23, 4-8 p.m., followed by It’s A Secret at 9 p.m.

FadaDance Troupe Presents its seventh annual all ages dance party, !POP!, at The Exchange on Saturday, Nov. 23, 7 p.m. There will be dance performances by FadaDance youth, DJs, dance contests and prizes. Tickets are available at the door, $12 for adults, $8 for youths, and $35 for a family of four.

The Regina Symphony Orchestra presents Beethoven & Tchaikovsky at the Conexus Arts Centre on Saturday, Nov. 23, 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $52.50.

Latin Grammy/Juno winning pop-soul singer-songwriter Alex Cuba returns to Regina for a concert at the Artesian on Saturday, Nov. 23, 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance at artesianon13th.ca.

Fans of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper are in for an experience at the Casino Regina Show Lounge, as the official live and authentic re-creation of their final tour is performed on Saturday, Nov. 23, 8 p.m. Tickets for John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party” are $33.

Marie-Veronique Bourque (flute) and Matt Kaip (guitar) play jazz-fuelled music at Shannon’s Pub on Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 p.m.

TDC Inc. performs uptempo jazz, rock and funk for Monday Night Jazz at Bushwakker, Monday at 8 p.m.

Face-Off, a Canadian hockey-themed movie from 1971, is the subject of Jayden Pfeifer’s joke-filled Talkies at the RPL Film Theatre on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 6:30 p.m. Admission is free with a food bank donation.

Seatbelt is a dramatic cautionary tale written from the true-life journey of a young woman who sustains a spinal cord injury from a violent car crash. Entering the world of “other,” it emphasizes what social and psychological anxieties the transformation creates for her and her family. The play exemplifies the shift in how the medical system treats and perceives someone who identifies with Disability. Written, directed and performed by Natasha Urkow, Seatbelt runs Nov. 26-28, 7:30 p.m., at the University of Regina Shu-Box Theatre. Tickets are pay-what-you-can.

Well-known Newfoundland comedian Shaun Majumder (This Hour Has 22 Minutes) brings his HATE Tour to the Casino Regina Show Lounge on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 8 p.m. Tickets are $45.

The Alley Dawgs (and special guests) celebrate 20th-century country music every Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. sharp at the Fat Badger. Admission is free.

10,000 Drowned is an art exhibition focusing on the caribou of Northern Quebec, specifically those who drowned in 1984 at Limestone Falls. Margaret Orr’s paintings, ceramic sculptures and video installation capture the beauty of the caribou, land, water and sky. A master of fine arts graduating exhibition, 10,000 Drowned is on Nov. 25-Dec. 6 at the U of R Riddell Centre Fifth Parallel Gallery. An opening reception is Nov. 27, 4-7 p.m.

The Globe Theatre kicks off its holiday production on Wednesday. This retelling of Cinderella was written by Courtenay Dobbie, whose previous experience in fairytales at the Globe includes directing The Hobbit and Sleeping Beauty.
