Stetson University outside hitter Elena Djokovic and middle blocker Kaylee Oscarson have been named to the ASUN All-Freshman team, the league announced.

Djokovic, from Belgrade, Serbia, averaged 2.8 kills, 1.1 digs and 0.5 blocks-per-set during the season. She ranked second on the team and 11th in the conference with 282 kills.

Oscarson of Jensen Beach hit .316 with 71 blocks during the season.

Djokovic and Oscarson are Stetson's first all-freshman team selections since Haley Tippett in 2015. They are the first Stetson duo to earn all-freshman team honors in the same season since McKenna Foster and Shelby Connors in 2014.

ERAU falls to Florida Southern in women’s basketball

The Florida Southern women's basketball team defeated Embry-Riddle, 65-49, on Wednesday night at the ICI Center.

In the Sunshine State Conference opener for both schools, Florida Southern improved to 3-2 overall and ERAU is 1-3.

Florida Southern junior guard Julia Jenike led all scorers with 18 points, while sophomore forward Ashley Shell chipped in 11 and senior forward Katerina Pazzaglia-Khomenko added 10.

ERAU men upset No. 18 Florida Southern

The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team stayed unbeaten Wednesday night, opening up Sunshine State Conference play with a 106-95 win over 18th-ranked Florida Southern in the ICI Center.

The Eagles (6-0, 1-0) got a career game from lone senior Luka Majstorovic, who scored 31 points with 10 rebounds, six blocks and two steals.

Florida Southern, which had won five in a row against ERAU, is 3-1, 0-1. The Eagles matched a program record with their fourth-straight 100-point offensive output.

Elijah Jenkins had 23 points, Romeo Crouch 15 and Chris Murray 11 for ERAU.
