He's enjoyed something of a banner year, having significantly boosted his profile through his universally lauded portrayal of Sir Elton John in the biopic Rocketman.

And Taron Egerton has kept the celebratory mood going, jetting off to the sun-kissed Dominican Republic with girlfriend Emily Thomas to mark his 30th birthday.

The Welsh-raised actor, whose birthday fell on November 10th, took to Instagram on Thursday to share shots of the luxury accommodations afforded to him during his trip to the Dominican Republic – which included a pristine private pool and a full staff.

Taron rang in his milestone birthday in Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, a gated community on the Caribbean nation's scenic coastal city of La Romana. 

Posting a selfie in which he posed before his villa's sparkling pool, the screen star wrote, in part, of his week-long stay: 'I cannot think of a better way to spend the first week of my 31st year than in this gorgeous place...

'Stunning scenery and incredible people. Particular thanks to the incredible staff at this beautiful villa for making it a magical experience. I have never experienced luxury like it. The perfect way to celebrate my 30th birthday. Thank you!'

Lap of luxury: He stayed in the fully staffed five-bedroom, five-bathroom Villa Mar Y Palma

The star added a selection of snapshots of the $20million property he called home for the week, the resort's fully staffed five-bedroom, five-bathroom Villa Mar Y Palma, where guests can expect to pay up to $10,000 per night.

With breakfast prepared each morning by staff in the villa and a butler on call for 11 hours of the day, Taron and his film producer girlfriend were in the lap of luxury as they holidayed on the property.

In between taking dips in the ocean or their private pool, the lovebirds enjoyed couple's massages before sipping on speciality cocktails at sunset.

And, should they have wished to pull themselves away from the pampering offered to them at the oceanfront villa, they were just a stone's throw away from the Teeth of the Dog golf course, rated number one in the entire Caribbean.

Outside of dining in the privacy of their own villa, the couple also had the option of meandering down to any one of the resort's seven world class restaurants.

Taron's stay at Casa de Campo has put him in good company, as the resort has attracted an array of famous famous over the years, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell Williams, Justin Bieber and the Kardashians.

Lovebirds Taron and Emily embarked on their romance in 2016. 

While Emily appears to enjoy keeping a low profile, they have since been seen out and about together on a number of occasions, including when she accompanied her beau to the London premiere of Rocketman in May.

Taron was announced as a Grammy Award nominee on Wednesday in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category for the Rocketman soundtrack, which features his takes on Elton classics like Bennie & the Jets and Rocket Man.
