Gorillaz Announce New Documentary Gorillaz: Reject False Icons

Gorillaz have confirmed a release date for their new documentary.

Gorillaz: Reject False Icons will hit cinemas worldwide for one night only on December 16 and captures life in the studio with the virtual band's co-founders Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett; producers the Twilite Tone of D / P, Remi Kabaka and James Ford.

Directed by Denholm Hewlett, the son of Gorillaz' Jamie, the film also features a star-studded cast of collaborating artists, including Vince Staples, Jean-Michel Jarre, De La Soul, Little Simz, Graham Coxon, Pauline Black, Shaun Ryder, Mavis Staples and Noel Gallagher, as well as previously unseen footage of the making of two of the band's albums, 2017's 'Humanz' and 2018's 'The Now Now'.

There's also an all access look into bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist Noodle, drummer Russel Hobbs and vocalist 2D's biggest world tour to date, including their own UK and US Demon Dayz Festivals.
