In a similar case, a 12-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by local youth in a village in Bhamora under Bareilly district on Monday morning., justicenews reports.
According to reports, this is third incident of schoolgirls being sexually assaulted or raped in Bareilly in the past week.
Acting swiftly in the case, an FIR was registered and soon after, the accused was arrested within an hour of receiving the complaint.
The victim a student of Class V, has been sent for medical examination.
Similarly last month, two cousins were allegedly gang-raped, with the video of the crime recorded and shared on social media by one of the accused.
In the same month, a class 1 student was raped by a 65-year-old man in Siroli area of the district.
