The 700-km Yatra for Constitution is an attempt to create awareness about the Indian Constitution
Earlier this week, mountaineers and environmentalists Kavita Reddy and Jigna Modh embarked on their proposed 700-kilometre Yatra for Constitution, a walk/run to create awareness about the Constitution, which would cover 10 districts between Bengaluru and Bidar.
The yatra, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of the adoption of India’s Constitution, was flagged off from Swabhiman Park in the presence of other like-minded citizens, each of who was given a copy of the Preamble.

On day one, Kavita and Jigna headed to Dasanapura, en route which they visited a government school in Peenya for an interaction with students. The next day, the two ladies managed a total of 49 kms, during which they met Omkar Singh, who is on a solo yatra against electronic voting machines.
