BENGALURU: A PES University student has received a Rs 49.7-lakh-a-year package from an Australian software firm - the highest offer during the campus recruitment for 2019-20.
Manjunath Bhadrannavar, a seventh-semester student of computer science engineering and son of a grocer from Bagalkot, was the only candidate picked from PES by Atlassian Corporation that develops products for software developers, project and content managers.
He will be placed in Bengaluru.
"I've always been interested in computers and programming. I've also received Prof CNR Rao Merit Scholarships twice in my three years and a few months as an undergraduate. I'm happy to be part of PES University considering there are over 200 engineering colleges in Karnataka. The opportunities that PES University provides to its students are commendable," said Manjunath, from Bagalkot.
