A cleanliness drive carried out in Kolhapur

Kolhapur Municipal corporation's campaign to to create a clean and plastic-free city, witnessed a huge participation of individuals and organisation who came together to ensure that there was no litter and trash around.
White Army, an organisation run my senior citizens, Narek Foundation and a few other NGOs joined hands to collect plastic waste. They successfully managed to collect 10 tons plastic waste in a day's time.Ranga Parisar and the the pedestals inside the gardens and parks were also cleaned.
Dr Mallinath Kalashetty, commissioner of Municipal Corporation, helped people understand the importance of cleanliness and why one should get rid of plastic waste. He also highlighted the importance of proper waste management and reuse and recycle of plastic.
